Skills Required

Essential
  • Ability to work and live in Australia
  • Undergo and pass client medicals (including drug and alcohol testing)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (must be recognised in Australia)
  • Minimum 5-years’ experience as a civil engineer with design experience
  • Experience in using drawing packages such as Revit, Inventor or equivalent
  • Proficient in use of SpaceGass, Strand 7 or equivalent
  • Experience in undertaking structural design
Preferrable
  • Ability to apply for or work towards CPEng & RPEQ status
  • Professional membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent body (preferred)
  • Worked in the Australian landscape across mining, commercial projects, or infrastructure
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Ability to work independently, especially if working remotely
  • Willing to continue professional development and post graduate studies
  • Exposure to management and administration of contracts
  • Previously led a small technical team

Job Outline

Operating since 2007, TEG Consulting provides a range of professional engineering and asset management services across civil design, structural engineering, and project management across all sectors within Australia and overseas.

TEG differs from most consultancies in that we have a Research & Development Division (TEG R&D) in which we conduct and test various components and frames. Testing is conducted on site but predominantly from our South Johnstone Office and Warehouse. We have a number of exciting R&D projects on the books and engineers are given the opportunity to be involved and assist with these projects.

We are recruiting for several engineering positions to support our strong pipeline of work across various industries including mining, commercial projects, and government. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who wishes to take on new challenges and grow their career. The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for civil and structural designs across a broad variety of projects across all industries and sectors.

Responsibilities Include

  • Reviewing scopes of work and various technical standards and tenders
  • Management of projects including technical and commercial administration across projects
  • Preparation of technical designs, reports, standards, and specifications
  • Design of various structures such as roads, bridges, culverts, water systems
  • Liaising with multiple clients across your assigned project portfolio
